The founder

Ten years in hospitality commercial roles, before the consultancy.
Mohammed Ismail Benjelloun — CEO & Founder
Most advisers in this field have only ever been advisers. He spent five and a half years inside Marriott — first as Hotel Sales Manager at Courtyard Paris La Défense West, then on the opening team of Courtyard Paris Porte de Versailles as Director of Sales and Marketing, building a commercial function from nothing through the first years of trading.
He moved to project work in 2022, running a system programme for Accor, and today holds a freelance Product Owner mandate at Disneyland Paris, where he leads the product vision and roadmap for the revenue management platform behind its future RM strategy.
Zayn Consulting was founded in December 2024 to carry that work independently, from Dubai, for clients across Europe and the Gulf.
Opening a hotel teaches you which parts of a commercial plan survive contact with a real operation. Most of them do not.

Oct 2016 – Apr 2019
Hotel Sales Manager — Courtyard by Marriott Paris La Défense West
Colombes, France
Corporate and group sales for a business-district property: account management, negotiation and the day-to-day commercial work that the strategy decks assume.
Selected engagements
Four pieces of work that describe the range.
Revenue management strategy and platform transformation
A resort where accommodation sits alongside parks, dining and events, and where no standard revenue management configuration fits. The work covers the product vision and roadmap for the RMS, the customisation and optimisation of IDeaS G3 against that strategy, and the pricing, inventory and demand capability across every sales channel.
Most of the difficulty is not technical. It is holding revenue, business and technology stakeholders to one definition of how the resort should price — then making the platform describe it.
Property management system programme
Project management on a change of property management system for one of the largest hotel groups in the world — the platform that touches reservations, front office, rates, billing and every downstream report. Work spanned preparation, delivery and the stabilisation period that decides whether a migration is judged a success.
A performance platform for holiday homes and their owners
Short-let operators run on spreadsheets and owner emails: the management company cannot see how the portfolio is trading without assembling it by hand, and owners have no view of their own apartment until a statement arrives weeks later.
We designed and built the application that closes both gaps. The operator gets a live view of performance across the portfolio; each owner gets a login showing how their apartment is performing and what it has earned. It is maintained and developed under an ongoing support arrangement.
Opening a hotel, commercial function from zero
On the opening team of Courtyard Paris Porte de Versailles, responsible for commercial and marketing with revenue management in the remit. Pricing and rate structure at launch, segmentation and channel strategy, distribution set-up, and the forecasting and reporting routines a property needs before it has any history to forecast from.
This is the experience the rest of the work rests on: not advising a commercial team, but being one.
